“Creating Schools That Are Out of This World!”

Are you ready? The stars have aligned for our fourth annual Summer Institute for Authentic Learning and Leadership!

If you’ve joined us before, you know that the Summer Institute is a place of inspiration, collaboration, exploration, and fun—a place designed to engage and nurture a “community of innovators.”

If you’ve never attended, we look forward to welcoming you. You’ll meet dynamic people, discover new ideas and resources, and leave with renewed purpose, energy, and commitment.

Your experiences at the Institute will help you reimagine education, reconnect with the joy of teaching, and empower students to change the world. Throughout this process, our presenters will engage you in the power of story in our lives, our work, our learning, and our connections with others.

In addition, we’ll explore frontiers of space together—not just outer space, but also inner space, school and classroom space, community and workforce space, and the global space we share. This special theme will help us transform the setting at Upper Arlington High School with a sense of curiosity, wonder, adventure, and shared vision and mission. It will also enhance our attention to student and staff well-being, school environment and culture, career and workforce development, and civic engagement and responsibility. All of these elements are key components of authentic learning and leadership.

Regardless of your role, level, or subject area, there will be sessions that engage your heart and mind. We’re working hard to provide sessions that will resonate with you and meet your needs.

So please join us July 9-10. Together, we can make learning irresistible. Together, we can create schools that are out of this world!

Registration

Step 1
At the end of these registration directions, you will find a "Reserve Tickets" button on the right side of this page. Click on that button. On the next screen, select your ticket, and you will be directed "to continue with ticket purchase, "Sign up or Log in."

If this is your first Summer Institute for Authentic Learning and Leadership and you do not have an existing Sched account, you will click on "Sign up" to create a free Sched account. If your school is a Google Workspace district, it is as easy as clicking “Sign in with Google.” Otherwise, you can create a Sched account with your work email address and a password.

If you have attended the Summer Institute in the past or have an existing Sched account from a different conference, simply click “Log In.”

Step 2
Once you are signed into Sched, you will be prompted to purchase your registration “ticket.” Because of how Sched works, individuals must have their own Sched account and register for the conference themselves.

Note: Due to Google and Apple’s App Store policies, tickets must be purchased through the Sched website and cannot be purchased through the Sched mobile app. Once registration is complete, you can use the app to create your conference schedule.

Participants have two options for payment at the time of Institute registration:

Credit Cards
Credit Cards are processed by Stripe. This includes a non-refundable processing fee.

Purchase Orders
Purchase orders should be made payable to ESC of Central Ohio, 2080 Citygate Drive, Columbus OH 43219. We ask that the creator of the Purchase Order send a copy to authenticsupport@escco.org before distributing the PO number to your attendees for registration.

Registration Rates
Early Bird Registration is available until 4/12/25 for $350.
General Admission (after 4/12/25) -- $450
Pre-service Educator -- $100 (with ticket code provided to registrant by Partnerships)
Teams of 15 or more -- $375 each (purchase order only)
Teams of 40 or more -- $350 each (purchase order only)
Confirmed Breakout Presenter -- $350 (with ticket code provided to presenter by Partnerships)
 
Refunds and Cancellations
Cancellations received up to ten (10) business days prior to the date of the conference will receive a full refund, minus any credit card processing fees if applicable. Cancellations received less than 10 business days prior to the event will have an additional $50 administrative fee, on top of any credit card processing fees. Individuals who register and are "no shows" will pay the full registration.

Graduate Credit/CEU Certificates
You will find information regarding Ashland graduate credit and contact hour certificates on the Partnerships website.
